Overview
Our client is building a consumer-facing iOS app where users engage in short, skill-based challenges for real cash prizes. The experience is designed to be fast, social, and exciting — like competing with friends in a trivia or arcade-style skill contest.
They’re looking for a Senior iOS Engineer with deep SwiftUI expertise to help polish, expand, and optimize their iOS experience as the product scales.
Responsibilities
- Build and refine core UI flows using SwiftUI
- Implement smooth, real-time animations and transitions
- Integrate key services like Firebase and Apple Pay
- Work with the client directly to improve responsiveness and app stability
- Help build scalable state management for multiplayer flows
- Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability
- Contribute ideas and best practices in a fast-paced, product-driven environment
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building native iOS apps
- 2+ years of professional SwiftUI experience
- Deep understanding of MVVM architecture
- Experience with Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Messaging)
- Experience integrating Apple Pay or similar iOS payment flows
- Excellent attention to detail in UI/UX
- Startup experience or similar product ownership mindset
Nice to Have
- Experience in skill-based or consumer engagement apps
- Background in social or gamified mobile apps
- Familiarity with performance tuning and animation optimization
- Understanding of real-time multiplayer flows or matchmaking
