About the Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer & Technical Lead to help build and shape an exciting new AI-powered SaaS Learning Management System (LMS) with a subscription-based model. This is a rare opportunity to work on a product from the ground up, helping to define its architecture, technical strategy, and best practices.

As the technical leader, you will not only contribute hands-on but also guide a small, talented team of engineers. You’ll be instrumental in driving Agile processes, organizing sprints, managing pull requests, refining user stories, and ensuring smooth collaboration between stakeholders. Our client has a fractional CTO, and the founders are still building their expertise in Agile methodologies, so your leadership will be essential in structuring the development process.

Beyond just coding, we’re looking for someone with strong business acumen—understanding how technical decisions impact the product’s scalability, user experience, and revenue growth will be a major plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to the development of a new AI-powered SaaS LMS, working closely with stakeholders to define its direction.
  • Own the fullstack development with expertise in NestJS (backend) and React.js (frontend).
  • Guide and mentor a small team (2 developers + 1 DevOps), ensuring smooth collaboration.
  • Drive Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, and user story refinement.
  • Oversee code quality through pull requests, testing best practices, and technical documentation.
  • Act as the technical bridge between product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Optimize system performance, scalability, and security, ensuring best practices for a high-traffic SaaS application.
  • Collaborate on defining AI-driven features, ensuring seamless integration into the LMS.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering with expertise in NestJS (Node.js framework) and React.js.
  • Previous experience in a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager role, managing small teams in an Agile environment.
  • Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, user story management, and team coordination.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS architectures, cloud-based infrastructures, and scalable system design.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and modern development workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills, with the ability to balance technical and business priorities.
  • Experience working with subscription-based models, payment integrations, and multi-tenant architectures is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and how they can be applied to learning management systems is a bonus.

Why Join?

  • Shape a new product from the ground up—your contributions will directly influence the success of an AI-powered LMS.
  • Work on cutting-edge AI-driven technology, helping to redefine online learning experiences.
  • Be a key leader in a growing team, with the autonomy to establish best practices and processes.
  • Collaborate with forward-thinking founders, bringing technical leadership to a startup that values innovation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior engineer who thrives in both hands-on coding and leadership and wants to play a crucial role in building something truly impactful.
