AI Agent Dev

Position: AI Agent Developer (LLM/RAG/Workflow)

Location: Remote (LATAM)

Engagement: Contract - Long Term

Language: English Fluency Required

Timezone: Must have 4+ hours overlap with U.S. Central Time

About the Client
Our client is a stealth-mode AI fintech startup backed by Tier 1 VCs including Drive, Sequoia, Goodwater, Core, and 81C. Their mission is to make homeownership more affordable for everyday homeowners. By leveraging proprietary AI agents, they help automate savings on property taxes, energy, insurance, and other homeownership costs. Users are saving over $2,500/year in under 60 seconds of effort.

They operate in a "post-AI world" — deeply lean, tech-forward, and fast-paced. Their stack integrates agentic AI into both product and operations. The team moves quickly, values sharp execution, and has a bias for action.

About the Role
We are hiring a senior-level AI Agent Developer to build intelligent, production-ready agents that serve both internal ops and end users. You will work directly with the CTO and founding team on high-impact initiatives.

This is a long Long Term contract and ideal for someone who has previously built and deployed agents in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement agentic workflows using LLMs, tools, memory, RAG, and external APIs

  • Build both backend and prompt structures to support the agent's core logic

  • Prototype quickly, deploy reliably, and iterate based on real-world use cases

  • Collaborate with product/ops to define scope and prioritize integrations

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience working with LLMs, LangChain, or similar frameworks

  • Hands-on experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)

  • Built and shipped agents (personal, operational, or customer-facing)

  • Deep understanding of agent orchestration, chaining, and tool calling

  • Proficient in Python (FastAPI is a plus)

  • Strong engineering instincts, independent contributor mindset

  • Bonus: experience with AI use cases in fintech or consumer platforms

Ideal Traits

  • Startup experience or ability to thrive in unstructured, fast-moving teams

  • Comfort working async and autonomously

  • Thoughtful communicator with clarity and humility

  • Bias toward ownership and speed over perfection

Why This Role?

  • Work directly with a highly technical founding team

  • Build AI systems from scratch that impact real users

  • Flexible hours, async culture, high visibility

  • Join a mission-driven company changing financial outcomes for homeowners
