Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with a good background in Python development to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who combines advanced AWS DevOps expertise with hands-on experience in building and managing Python-based applications. Knowledge of JavaScript is a nice-to-have but not a must.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Build and manage containerized environments using Docker and ECS.
  • Develop and deploy serverless architectures with AWS Lambda.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment pipelines using Terraform and Bitbucket Pipelines.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and applications using Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Ensure the performance and availability of relational databases like RDS/Postgres.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to adopt DevOps best practices, streamline workflows, and enhance the development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in AWS DevOps or similar roles.
  • Advanced expertise in Python development with experience in frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as ECS.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines.
  • Experience with serverless technologies, including AWS Lambda.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly RDS/Postgres.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with JavaScript and associated frameworks/libraries.
  • Experience with other CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus).
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and Agile methodologies.
