Job Description
As a Senior Frontend React Developer, you will be responsible for leading the frontend design and development of our AI-driven chat interface. You’ll work closely with designers and backend engineers to create a seamless and engaging user experience. This role requires a deep understanding of React.js, JavaScript, Material UI, and design tools such as Figma or Adobe. You'll also be responsible for ensuring our platform is both visually appealing and functional, focusing on user interaction, UI/UX design, and responsive web development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the frontend for our AI chat-based product using React.js, JavaScript, and related libraries.
- Implement UI components and design systems using Material UI, Styled Components, or similar frameworks.
- Lead design to transform Figma mockups and prototypes into functional, scalable, and user-friendly interfaces.
- Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility for a seamless user experience across devices.
- Optimize performance and improve the scalability of the frontend application.
- Develop reusable and modular components for the AI chat platform.
- Ensure integration with backend APIs, focusing on real-time data handling and interactions.
- Use advanced JavaScript and modern libraries to build dynamic and interactive features.
- Collaborate with product managers and backend developers to define and implement new features.
- Take ownership of frontend architecture and ensure maintainability, security, and performance.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Frontend Developer with a strong focus on React.js.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Hands-on experience with Material UI and design systems.
- Strong design sense and experience working with UX/UI tools like Figma or Adobe.
- Solid understanding of CSS-in-JS libraries (Styled Components, Emotion) and responsive design principles.
- Experience with API integration, real-time data handling, and asynchronous programming using React hooks, Context API, Redux, or similar state management tools.
- Familiarity with design tools and principles, with a good eye for UI/UX detail.
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for large-scale applications.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on AI-powered or chat-based applications.
- Familiarity with WebSockets, GraphQL, or other real-time data libraries (Not a must but big plus)
- Understanding of design thinking and user-centric design processes.
- Familiarity with TypeScript for type safety in large-scale applications.
Soft Skills
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, especially in a fast-paced, startup environment.
