Sr. Backend Python (ML)

We're looking for a Senior Python Backend Developer who excels at building robust data pipelines and backend services while integrating AI and ML capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI and Data Pipeline Development:

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for text extraction, data transfer, data cleanup, and topic extraction.
  • Work with data scientists to implement and optimize machine learning models for real-time and batch processing.
  • Design and manage infrastructure for data storage and ETL processes.

• Backend Development:

  • Develop and maintain Python APIs, focusing on frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
  • Collaborate with front-end and AI teams to integrate machine learning models into a seamless product experience.
  • Optimize the backend architecture for performance, scalability, and security.

• Database Management:

  • Work with PostgreSQL databases to store and manage structured data efficiently.
  • MongoDB or other NoSQL database experience is a plus but not required.

• Collaborative Integration:

  • Integrate external APIs (such as Jira, Slack, and GitHub) to enhance the AI product's interactivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and front-end developers.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with Python.
• Experience with FastAPI or Flask for developing APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AI and ML techniques, especially in text extraction, topic modeling, natural language processing (NLP), and data cleanup.
• Experience building data pipelines for ETL processes and integrating machine learning models into backend services.
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and familiarity with MongoDB or other non-relational databases.
• Knowledge of best practices in software design, testing, and security.

Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with JavaScript and Node.js.
• Experience with APIs like Jira, Slack, or GitHub.
• Experience with AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of NLP libraries (spaCy, Hugging Face, etc.).
• Knowledge of data annotation and model training for supervised learning is a plus.
